EVI Technologies provides Slow Charging Stations

Slow charging is the simplest form of EV charging where the vehicle is connected to the power grid through standard socket outlets. It does not offer any extra protection apart from standard electrical safety regulations while charging. The power rating of this charging system is limited to between 3kW to 11kW and 230V alternating current (AC), which results in slow and long charging times.

Indian startup EVI Technologies manufactures 3,3 kW AC EV chargers for homes. The startup’s charging infrastructure supports the standard vehicle charger terminals as well as provides charging and battery indication using LEDs. It also integrates a user authentication function to verify the connected vehicle, avoiding energy theft. The startup’s product allows home and property owners to offer EV infrastructure at low costs, increasing EV adoption.

E-line offers Level 2 EV Charging Stations With Additional Protection

Level 2 EV chargers are commonly used in park & charge environments where a vehicle is parked for a longer period of time, for example in shopping centers. Such charging systems deliver 11 – 22kW and 400V AC. Moreover, they use an additional layer of protection built into the charging outlet since the vehicle is parked for longer durations.

German startup E-line creates smart charging networks of AC/direct current (DC) charging stations for both homes and businesses. Its EV charging infrastructure is designed for a variety of charging types from slow charging to quick charging depending on the environment.

Evgo develops a Fast Charging Network

Fast charging offers much higher power ratings, reaching up to 50kW and 400 to 500V DC. This method uses a special socket type to enable the rapid charging of electric vehicles, reducing the charge time to under an hour. A fast-charging station also provides greater electrical protection that adjusts for any extra load to the electrical circuit when the electric vehicle is charging.

Evgo is a US-based startup that offers a public fast-charging network throughout the USA. The span of its network ensures accessible and affordable fast charging available to all EV drivers. This allows drivers to mitigate range anxiety while the solution enables electric grids to improve demand-side management.

Evtech provides a Special Fast Charging Infrastructure

Mode 4 or Level 4 charging stations use special charging technology, such as CHAdeMO, that allows vehicles to charge in just a few minutes. The power rating of such systems exceeds 50kW and ranges from 300 to 500V DC, for example, the Tesla EV supercharger. These rapid charge solutions allow infrastructure managers to minimize waiting periods for customers and improve accessibility.

Evtech is a Swiss startup that designs a robust and low-maintenance charging station with different plug types that allow for regular, fast, and special fast charging. It also allows multiple users to charge their vehicles at the same time. The startup’s integrated solution improves driver convenience and mitigates the need for multiple EV charging infrastructures.
